Nnamdi Kanu Left In Total Isolation As DSS Reportedly Blocks Legal Team Visits
The Department of State Services (DSS) has allegedly barred the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), from accessing him in detention.
Kanu’s lead counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, revealed during a press conference in Abuja that the DSS has cancelled all future visits by Kanu’s legal representatives.
Ejimakor expressed concern that Kanu may be completely isolated, with no further opportunity to meet with his lawyers, citing fears over his absolute solitary confinement.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that this action, according to Ejimakor, is reportedly a retaliatory move following Kanu’s recent confrontation in court.
During his last appearance at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Kanu had demanded that Justice Binta Nyako recuse herself from his case, citing a lack of confidence in her.
Despite federal government objections, Justice Nyako withdrew from the proceedings.
“Today, in violation of existing court orders and the Constitution, the DSS blocked the legal team of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from meeting with him at the detention facility,” Ejimakor stated.
He further alleged that the DSS, acting on behalf of the federal government, is punishing Kanu for his actions in court, which embarrassed Justice Nyako.
Ejimakor emphasized that the DSS’s actions have unlawfully deepened Kanu’s isolation, leaving him in a state of complete solitary confinement. “I don’t know when, or if, we will ever be able to meet with him again,” he concluded.
